From 1957 until 2011, the Space Age inspired generations of dreamers and transformed the way we think about the universe. The Space Shuttle Atlantis landing at the Kennedy Space Center on July 21, 2011, not only concluded the final mission of this period but also inspired me to create a collection that reflected my personal attachment to space exploration and the fond memories I had of my grandmother's sketches of the constellations in the night sky.
